Brownies visit to the Life Centre January 2013
'A cold January morning saw 65 Brownies from Saltburn and Guisborough
travel in a double decker coach to the Life Science Centre in Newcastle. After
donning ice skates, the Brownies tackled the slippery ice. Some were expert
skaters, others needed a bit of encouragement but all had a really good go!
After warming up over lunch the girls experienced the science centre,
planetarium and 4D motion thrill ride. We all learnt new facts about the moon
and how to turn your hoover into a target shooter - do try this at home was the
message! A great day with some brill girls all returned home tired but
happy!'

Brownies visit to France
'South Langbaurgh Division Brownies (and a couple of Guides) visited a PGL
centre in northern France at half term. The girls took part in on-site
activities such as bouldering, problem solving and survival skills, had a
halloween disco and made crepes. We also went out and about, visiting a
chocolatiere, a goats cheese farm, a boulangerie, a French cafe and a local
market. Fun was had by all'.
